Hon. Michael Okyere Baafi, Dy Minister of Trade & Industry of Ghana has urged for more Indian and Ghanaian business partnerships in the pharmaceutical sector sighting the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in place to make their way to Africa and make it more profitable.
AfCFTA headquarters being in Accra and Ghana provides duty free and quota free access to the west african markets, the Deputy Minister urged the business to have strong tie ups with Ghanaian business companies, particularly with the Indian side who formed the majority of the participation in the expo and India was the partner country.
More than 100 Pharmaceutical Medical and Healthcare companies from India Turkey Ghana and other countries exhibited in the expo and over 2000 visitors and buyers including manufacturers, importers distributors, wholesalers and hospitals from Ghana and other west african countries participated in the expo.
The seminars and conference held in the sidelines of the expo, helped the Pharmaceutical and healthcare industry identify and understand prospects of partnership, and also understand bottlenecks and opportunities for growth and innovation in practises.
